Police Raid YSRCP Offices In Kadapa District

Kadapa: Andhra Pradesh police raided the offices of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) here on Saturday following allegations that large stash of cash was hidden in the premises for the MLC elections that concluded recently.

However, after several hours of intense searches in the party offices the police did not find anything incriminating and had to return empty handed. YSRCP leaders from the district strongly condemned the police action. "No prior intimation was given by the police regarding the searches. Also, the police did not have any warrant with them to undertake the search operation," said a senior party official. They blamed the ruling Telugu Desam Party for spreading rumours about money hidden in party offices and inciting the police.
