Police help sought to evict Chandrababu Naidu
AP Bhavan resident Commissioner on Wednesday wrote a letter to the Principal Secretary of home ministry expressing his discontent on TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s hunger strike, which according to him was unlawful and thus could not be held there.
The letter was also forwarded to Delhi police commissioner and also to Election Commission, since the election code of conduct was in force already. He asked Delhi Police to evict Chandrababu and his supporters from the premises.
Chandrababu has been fasting at the Andhra BhaVan in the capital since Monday.
Earlier in the day, the officials locked AP Bhavan at Ashoka Nagar. The TDP party men forcibly entered inside and attacked the personnel to prevent them removing the flexi board of TDP from the fasting venue.
Sources in the AP Bhavan said that police may evict Chandrababu Naidu at any time today.
Will Naidu call off his fast, or look for a new venue? Watch this space for more updates.
