Police constable raped a woman in Mahabubnagar
Mahabubnagar, A 40 year old woman was allegedly raped by three men near Kothakota bustand of Mahabubnagar district, police said on Thursday.
The incident came to light only on Thursday morning, when the victim lodged a complaint at the Kothakota police station. According to reports, the victim is a resident of Kandukuru village under Addakula mandal and was waiting at the bus stop to board a bus.
As per Circle Inspector Vekateshwarlu, she was brutally raped by two men who maintains the cycle stand when she was alone in the midnight.
Shockingly, she was again raped by three men in which a police constable working in Kothakota police station was there.
Police took into custody of the three accused based on the complaint lodged by the victim. Reports say that the police registered a case against the accused under the Nirbhaya Act. A manhunt had been launched for the other two accused.
She was shifted to Vanaparthy govt hospital for medical examination.
All political parties across the district strongly condemned the incident and demand accused should be punished severely.
