Police conduct on raids lecturer's residence
The police and the public alike were shocked to see the riches in the residence of a lecturer in Eluru.
The lecturer - identified as Ghouse Mohiddin - works in CRR College and was involved in duping an SI post aspirant to a tune of 12 lakh in the guise of getting him a job.
The raids which began on Wednesday night, continued on Thursday also. The searches yielded key land documents and details about alleged ill-gotten properties.
Ghouse Mohiddin's job racket was unraveled after he refused to return 12 lakh out of the 15 lakh that he took for getting the aspirant a job. He had returned Rs 3 lakh earlier. As Ghouse did not return the money, the candidate complained to police and the police personnel searched the house of Ghouse with a search warrant.
