Police aspirant dies of heart attack during physical test
Hyderabad: A 22-year-old youth collapsed on ground during an 800-meter run as part of physical screening for the post of police constable in Nalgonda district and died in hospital.
V Rajasekhar, a native of Suryapet on Monday participated in the physical training test after clearing the written test in Nalgonda town.
“During the 800-meter run as part of physical fitness test for recruitment of police constable, he completed the first round of 400 meter but collapsed during the second round. He was taken to a hospital where he died while undergoing treatment, Nalgonda District Superintendent of Police N Prakash Reddy said.
According to doctors, Rajasekhar suffered heart-attack and died at the hospital, the SP said. A case under section 174 CrPC (suspicious death) has been registered in connection with the incident and probe is on.
