Modi seeks reports on nun’s gangrape, church attack

New Delhi:Expressing deep concern over the rape of an elderly nun in West Bengal and the razing down of a church in Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought immediate reports on the incidents.

In a tweet, the PMO said that the report has also sought what action has been taken on the attacks.
In Ganganapur of Nadiya district in West Bengal, a 71-year-old nun was allegedly gangraped by dacoits early on Saturday. In another incident, an under-construction church in Kaimri village near Hisar, Haryana, was razed down and the cross was replaced with an idol of Hanuman, triggering tension.
