PIL filed in HC on political stalemate in AP - Sakshi Post

A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh on the existing political stalemate in Andhra Pradesh.

In his PIL, the petitioner said, “The governor did not invite any one to form the government in the state eventhough Kiran Kumar Reddy resigned from the post one week ago. Due to this, the state is facing constitutional crisis.”

He asked the court to issue an order so that either the President’s rule is imposed in the state or a new government will be formed in the state.

The petitioner made Government of India, Governor, Speaker of Assembly, APCC President and Leader of Opposition as the respondents in the petition.

“Congress party, which has a majority in the assembly, failed to name a chief minister from it”, said the petitioner.
