PIL against APNGOs strike: Court adjourns hearing
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday postponed hearing in a public interest litigation plea filed by Ravi Kumar, a lawyer from Hyderabad, who said that APNGOs strike is against the law. The next hearing has been set for September 16.
The court ruled that if the government cannot handle problems in the state, the court itself would take action based on the details given by the governor. The government told the court that it has enforced No work-No pay under the rule GO 177 on the striking employees.
The judge also said that the court has not received any official note on the division of state and asked the APNGOs if there was any evidence of the bifurcation.
