Petty Issue Leads to Killing of A Man In Kurnool
Anantapur: In a gruesome incident, a man was hacked to death in broad daylight by a welder over a quarrel at Garladinne village in Anantapur district today.
According to the police, Rajashekar (26) was identified as a beneficiary for construction of household toilets in the village. The officials told him that the bill would be generated only after he completes construction of the toilet as per the norms in the welfare scheme.
Rajashekar hastened the work and called a worker Rafi from a nearby welding shop in the village to erect a sheet to cover the newly-constructed toilet. Having agreed to finish the work, Rafi had been delaying it for the past three days. Rajasekhar lost his cool and picked up an argument with him over not completing the work as promised. In the heat of the moment, Rajasekhar abused Rafi over the matter and asked him to finish the work by Saturday.
On Saturday, Rajasekhar arrived at the welding shop and asked Rafi to come along with him on his bike to finish the work.
After reaching the house, Rafi who was already angry with Rajasekhar, picked up an axe and attacked him causing severe injuries to the victim. Rafi fled from the place. Rajasekhar succumbed to the injuries. The panicked locals, alerted the police. A case has been registered against Rafi and the police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
