Petrol Price Jumps By Rs1.70/Liter, Diesel By 95 Paise 

Hyderabad: Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked with effect from Thursday midnight.

Petrol in Hyderabad now costs Rs71.45 per liter from June 1 as against Rs69.74 a liter earlier. Similarly, a liter of diesel will be priced at Rs59.20, as compared to Rs58.25 previously.

However, the price varies at different outlets of various oil companies.

Announcing the price hike, Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nation's largest fuel retailer, said the rates have been hiked excluding local state levies or VAT and actual increase will be higher depending on tax rate.
