Petrol Dealers Association said all the petrol bunks in the country will remain closed on November 15 in protest against policies of the oil companies. The association said they would observe No Purchase Day.

The protest is being organised against the oil companies.

The dealers are alarmed at the reducing profit margins and want the implementation of the recommendations by the Apurva Chandra Committee. From November 5, the petrol bunks will function only in one shift and will work only till 6 pm.

They also demanded that dealers' commission should be increased to 5 per cent from the present 3 per cent. As many as 53,500 petrol bunks in the country will go on strike. They said they had organised a black out on October 19 and October 19 for 15 minutes.
