Person Caught With Rs 7 Crore ‘Demon’ Notes Is Brother Of Actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar

Hyderabad: The person, Srinivas, who was caught with demonetised currency notes of Rs 7 crore on Thursday has turned out to be brother of film actress and BJP spokesperson Jeevitha Rajasekhar, the Hyderabad police said.

Srinivas, along with Purushottam, was presented before the media on Friday. Addressing a press conference, DCP Limba Reddy said that the accused had connections with several celebrities in Tollywood. Srinivas was working as a production manager in Joy Sports at Chennai.

The modus operandi of the accused was to convince prominent personalities in the movie industry and collect demonetised notes. Later, Srinivas along with his accomplice exchanged the banned currency in banks.

Srinivas had taken Rs 7 crore scrapped currency from one Koteswar in Chennai, the DCP said. The deal was to take 20 percent of the amount that would be exchanged.

Meanwhile, actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar denied that Srinivas was her brother. She said that her brother, Murali Srinivas, was hospitalised for the past one month.
