People prefer sop operas to Assembly proceedings:Babu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday admitted that people prefer to watch TV serials over the proceedings in the Assembly.

He said this was because the people were not happy with the way the the legislators were behaving in the house.

Two-day training classes for the newly-elected MLAs and MLCs began on Friday. The classes are being conducted by Chandrababu Naidu.

Apart from Chandrababu, Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan, the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, the Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs and Venkaiah Naidu would also address the MLAs.

Addressing on the first of the training sessions, Chandrababu advised the MLAs to uphold the dignity of house while participating in the discussions in the Assembly.  Many youth are not showing interest in the politics as they think it is a very disgraceful one.
