People obstruct ministers’ convoy in Atmakur

Ministers of the ruling party had to face the  ire  of locals during their participation in several government sponsored programmes at Atmakur  town in Nellore District on Friday.

A firecracker that was  set off by party workers during the arrival of ministers triggered an explosive near  the convoy. A woman was seriously injured in the explosion. She was rushed to a hospital.

The local  people expressed anger at the ministers and obstructed their convoy.

The situation became tense and with the police intervention the convoy left from the spot.

Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy, Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and Social Welfare Minister Pithani Satyanarayana participated in several welfare programmes held in the district.
