People Boo Nara Lokesh, Bojjala, Amarnath in Chittoor
Chittoor: Telugu Desam Party ministers Nara Lokesh, A. Amarnath Reddy and former minister Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy had a bitter experience when they went to console Yerpedu road mishap victims. Relatives of the victims slammed the ministers saying that their inability to extend the Kalahasti road led to the ghastly mishap. 16 people died in the deadly road mishap when a truck mowed down a group of people on Friday.
"Apart from Amaravati and Guntur, you don't think of developing other areas of the State. You should look at our problems too," said a distressed person. They further questioned the State government’s failure in curbing the nefarious activities of the sand mafia. The women gheraoed former minister Bojjala in the presence of Nara Lokesh.
"Will you able to get me my husband back for your Rs 5 lakh compensation," asked an angry woman, who lost her husband in the mishap. With one more person succumbing in the hospital, the toll in the Yerpedu accident rose to 16.
