Pawan ready to fast for capital area farmers
Actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan announced that he was ready to undertake indefinite hunger strike to protest the interests of the farmers of the AP Capital area.
The Jana Sena chief interacted with a large number of farmers who are not willing to part with their lands for the AP capital area in Tulluru mandal.
Addressing the gathering, Pawan said " I will speak to the Government over the land-pooling process and see that justice will be done to all the farmers. I also want a big capital in the lines of Singapore but not at the cost of farmer's livelihood. I am ready to sit on fasting to protect farmer's lands, " he said and requested the Government to stay away from acquiring farmers' lands.
He further said that it will not be good for the AP capital if the farmers shed tears. " I will speak to ministers Pattipati Pulla Rao and Narayana Rao on this. I will meet Chandrababu once I go back to Hyderabad," he added.
