Pawan Kalyan To Contest Elections in 2019

Anantapur: Popular film star and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Thursday declared that his party would be contesting the state elections in 2019. He made this revelation while addressing a massive rally in Anantapur.

The Jana Sena chief on Thursday sought to strike a chord with his audience in Anantapur by not only speaking on the problems faced by the people of the district but also declaring that their party would establish their very first office in Anantapur in 2017.

Addressing the crowds at the Anantapur Junior College grounds Pawan Kalyan questioned the resolve of the government in addressing the problems of the water starved district. Water guns will not eliminate the water scarcity in the district he charged.

The actor opened up on his reasons for standing by the TDP and BJP parties in the past. He said that his sole intention in supporting them was to secure the Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. He criticised the parties for letting the state down in this matter and vowed to carry on the fight himself. Special Status issue was not a closed chapter, he said.
