Patient Watches ‘Baahubali 2’ While Doctors Perform Surgery On Her Brain

Hyderabad: In an unusual operation theater scene, a 43-year-old woman from Guntur underwent a brain surgery while watching the movie 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" at a private hospital here on Wednesday.
Vinaya Kumari, a nurse by profession was diagnosed with a tumor in brain which needed to be removed. The doctors at the hospital told her to undergo a surgery for removal of the tumor. The operation had to be performed with the patient staying awake and no anesthesia was given.

The surgery lasted for about an hour and half, but I wished it would go on a bit longer, so that I could finish watching the entire film
To keep the patient awake during the surgery, the doctors arranged a laptop in the operation theater and played her favorite movie Baahubali 2. The video of the patient watching the movie while surgery went viral on social media. Shockingly, the patient was humming the Dandalayyaa song during the surgery.
"The surgery lasted for about an hour and half, but I wished it would go on a bit longer, so that I could finish watching the entire film," said Vinaya Kumari.
