Party workers pelt stones, police open fires in Guntur

Guntur, Tension gripped Guntur on the day of polling. In Rompicherla Mandal in Ramireddypalem party workers pelted stone at each other after having an altercation.

Unable to control the situation, police opened fire. Six were injured in the stone pelting.

In another incident in the same place, two YSRCP agents were kidnapped. Other YSRCP workers are alleging that TDP leaders who were indulging in illegal activities, were behind the kidnapping. The families of those kidnapped are distraught, and are waiting for the news of their return.
