Party Biggies Worried As ‘Intintiki TDP’ Campaign Draws Lukewarm Response
Even as TDP is gloating over the successes in Nandyal and Kakinada, there is disconcerting news coming from across the state. The much-hyped Intintiki Telugu Desam, the party's massive outreach programme, is facing trouble. At various places, the people are taking the TDP leaders to task over unfulfilled election promises and the lack of civic amenities.
Reports of TDP leaders facing the wrath of the people over issues like drinking water, civic amenities and garbage disposal are coming from various quarters. At many places, the turnout is very disappointing. In order to draw crowds, the TDP leaders are promising that pensions and CM relief fund amounts would be disbursed at the meeting.
The door-to-door campaign of the party has been completed in just about a half of the 175 constituencies. At several places, the people are asking the TDP leaders as to why they did not show up all these days. The party workers are reportedly finding it difficult to handle these inconvenient questions.
