Parliament disrupted over Telangana, adjourned till noon

Both houses of parliament were on Monday adjourned till noon over the Telangana issue.

As soon as the Lok Sabha met at 11 a.m., Congress and Telugu Desam Party MPs, opposed to the carving of Telangana out of Andhra Pradesh, raised their demand for the state remaining united.

In the Rajya Sabha, as soon as Chairman M. Hamid Ansari started the question hour after obituary references , Seemandhra region members trooped to near the chairman's podium.

Amidst the din, the upper house was first adjourned for 15 minutes, and then till noon.
