Parking Woes At Hyderabad Metro Rail Stations Worry Commuters

Vehicles parked at Ameerpet Metro Station being towed away by traffic police on Thursday  - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Parking woes began to worry the commuters of Hyderabad Metro Rail with the traffic police swinging into action on Thursday. Over a hundred two-wheelers parked at Ameerpet Metro station were towed away by the traffic police as parking was not authorized.

The commuters who parked their bikes in a lane beside the main station were shocked when they did not find their vehicles on their return. The towing operation began at Ameerpet this morning and it will be carried out at other stations too, said a traffic police official.

Though the HMR officials had assured designated parking lots at all the Metro Rail stations in the city, the action by the traffic police at Ameerpet Metro station clearly shows that none of the stations have authorized parking facility.

So folks, be prepared for the shock if you don't find your vehicle at the parked place. You know where to look!
