Parents Blame Narayana College For Student’s Death

Kakinada: A student of Narayana Junior College committed suicide by hanging at her hostel room in Kakinada on Thursday.

The deceased identified as G Bharati was pursuing intermediate and was staying at the college hostel. On Thursday evening, her parents received a call from the college authorities that Bharati committed suicide and they did not specify any further details.

Bharati had recently came home to attend the marriage of her elder sister, Vanitha. She seemed quite happy and did not mention about any problems at the college

The shocked father, G Sattibabu, expressed dismay at the casual attitude of the college authorities in breaking the news and their unwillingness to divulge further details. “Bharati had recently came home to attend the marriage of her elder sister, Vanitha. She seemed quite happy and did not mention about any problems at the college,” Sattibabu said. Bharati’s mother, who works in Kuwait, has been informed of her daughter’s death.
