Panel formed to watch ‘Brahmanism’ film - Sakshi Post

Brahmins in the State could achieve their goal. A nine-member committee has been constituted to watch the controversial film “A Woman In Brahmanism” and submit a report to the State Government.

The committee, headed by the Principal Secretary of Woman and Child Welfare, will watch the movie and suggest to the Government to delete the objectionable scenes. It has been given time till November 10 to submit the report, an official of the Film Development Corporation (FDC) said in Hyderabad today.
However, the Brahmin organizations in the State are not relenting. “We demand a total ban on the film. There is no question of compromise whatsoever on this demand. The State Government should immediately take measures to ban the film across the country,” the organizations said. They even threatened to intensify their agitation if the film is not banned.
On the other controversial film “Denikeina Ready” the organizations said that the film producer, Mohan Babu, should tender an unconditional apology to them for using highly objectionable language against the members of their community when they staged a peaceful dharna in front of his house demanding that the objectionable portions of the film be deleted.
