Pandem Kodi Star Vishal Reddy Enters Political Fray, To Contest From RK Puram

Pandem Kodi Actor Vishal is known to be laser sharp in taking decisions. Even as other film industry biggies like Super Star Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are dillydallying on their political entry, rebellious young star Vishal Reddy has taken the political plunge and will contest the RK Nagar bypolls in Tamil Nadu.

Vishal Reddy will file his papers for RK Nagar constituency, which fell vacant due to the death of Puratchi Thalaivi Jayalalithaa. He will be an independent candidate. Vishal, who is also the president of Nadigar Sangham, the association of the Tamil film actors, is known to be giant killer. He had unseated well-entrenched Sarath Kumar in the Nadigar Sangham elections. He is also well-known for his relief work during the Chennai floods. He had stayed and worked among the flood victims for over a fortnight during the floods and has won appreciation for his tireless work. RK Puram has a huge Telugu-speaking population and Vishal hopes to cash in on this voter chunk.

As of now, 27 nominations have been filed for RK Puram bypoll. Meanwhile, the BJP has nominated Natarajan as its nominee from RK Puram.

Tamil Nadu politics are taking an interesting turn with more and more film industries jumping into the political fray. Already there is a buzz about Superstar Rajinikanth's political foray. Kamal Haasan too has announced his intention to join active politics. Another farmer hero Vijayakanth is already active in politics. He heads DMDK in the state.
