Pakistani Movie ‘Bin Roye’ to release on August 7 in India
Pakistani cinema is slowly setting its foot on Indian soils as more and more cross border dramas are being showcased on Indian television.
This time against earlier speculations of a ban, a Pakistani movie is all set to release in India on August 7.
‘Bin Roye’ is a Pakistani Movie starring top Paksitani stars Mahira Khan and Humayun Sayeed in the lead. The movie was earlier scheduled to hit Indian screens on the day of Eid alongside Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijan, however it was postponed without any reasons revealed, a HUM TV representative informed.
The Pakistani movie has already hit theaters in 10 countries for the first time on Eid and has been received positively around the global with it topping the charts back home in karachi and Islamabad.
In a candid interview with Dawn, the leading lady Mahira Khan said that the film was a result of a lot of hard work: “Bin Roye has been a true labour of love, a testament to how all odds can be defied when you are passionate about something. I signed on to it when my career was at a high and it was frustrating waiting for it to be completed. Eventually, I began reading other scripts and signed on for the drama Sadqay Tumhare. Losing myself to another role was refreshing.”
Though looks like the movie might still have to deal with some tension around its release in India as Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena (MNCKS) had given the call to ban it from releasing across the state of Maharashtra following its announcement of release in India .Though, the group has no issue with the film being showcased in other parts of India.
Bin Roye has been penned down by the famous Pakistani Tv series Humsafar writer Farhat Ishtiaq and is directed by Shehzad Kashmiri and Momina Duraid.
The Paksitani dramas have become quite popular in India through the Zindagi channel, a Zee Tv initiative to bridge the Indo-Pak gap through enetrtainmemnt.
Therefore, It will be interesting to see how the Paksitani movie will fair in the Indian subcontinent.
