Pak Captain Sarfraz Ahmed’s Uncle Predicts India Will Lift Champions Trophy

The Oval, London: As Pakistan is off to a great start in champions Trophy final which is being played at the Oval on Sunday, London in England, fans in India are gripped with tension.

As the predictions of cricket pundits are subjected to change during the course of the match, a bit of news from England is doing rounds on the social media.

Mehboob Hasan from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh, who is the uncle of Pakistan's cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed, predicted that India would lift the Champions Trophy. Hasan made these remarks while watching the finals at the Oval.

Hasan felt that Pakistan's team could not match the standards of Indian team either batting or bowling. Pakistan is no where superior to India, he observed.

Hasan, who is a senior clerk in Etawah Agriculture Engineering College, resides in Etawah town. Hasan's sister Aqeela Bano, who is mother of captain Sarfraz Ahmed, moved to Karachi in Pakistan after getting married to Shakeel Ahmed. Subsequently, Sarfraz happened to have taken birth on the other side of the border.

Sarfraz had once come to Etawah for his uncle Hasan’s marriage when he was four years old. Since then, both the families kept in touch through Skipe and other social networking sites.

Uncle Hasan said that he had recently visited Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti dargah in Ajmer to pray for Sarfraz to get a chance in the Pakistan national side. Sarfraz Ahmed's mother is not keeping well, he said.
