Orphan Girls Upset By Hyper Aadhi’s Insensitive Comments In Jabardast Show

Hugely popular Jabardast comedy show, aired in a TV channel, is running into controversy once too often. The latest in the series is the uncharitable comment made by stand-up comedian Hyder Adhi on orphans. Several destitutes lodged complaints against the comedian with the State Human Rights Commission. They said the dialogues were demeaning to orphans, who need society's sympathy and support.

On Monday, several orphans went to the District Collector and SP in Kamareddy and lodged a complaint on the show aired on Thursday. In the show, Hyper Adhi has made uncharitable comments against orphans. Film critic Mahesh Kathi too backed the orphans. "Such dialogues will surely demoralise the orphans, who need our sympathy. Scripting and mouthing such dialogues in highly insensitive. I am with the orphans on this issue," he said.
