Oracle engineer jumps to death in Hyderabad

Ashwini Nairy, a software engineer from Oracle, committed suicide by allegedly jumping from the multi-storeyed Oracle office building in Hyderabad.

The deceased is a native of Bangalore. Ashwini died on the spot after she jumped from the seventh floor of Ananath Bhavan building. In her personal diary, Ashwini cited," I  fell like dying repeatedly. No one is responsible for my death."

A chemical engineer, Ashwini joined Oracle on June 24, 2013 and sadly ended her life today. She used to stay at a hostel in Madhapur. While Ashwini's father is a bank employee, her mother is a housewife. (Also Read)

According to reports, when Ashwini tried jumping from the gym room on the seventh floor, she was stopped by Ashabi, a sweeper present there. However, Ashwini paid no heed to him/her and jumped off the building.

The news of her suicide spread like a wild fire, and a crowd gathered around her body immediately.

The reason behind her extreme step is yet to be ascertained. The police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered and the police are investigating. "Her parents have been informed about the death and they would be reaching the spot soon", the police said. More details are awaited.
