Oracle employee Ashwini experienced suicidal tendencies
A 23-year-old woman software engineer from Bangalore allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the building of Oracle in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Ashwini Nairy from Bangalore.
Police found a suicide note in her diary. CI Narayana said that Ashwini was in love with her classmate, Ravish Jeorge. They started loving each other during their college days in Bangalore.
Ashwini did Chemical engineering from NIT. Ravish is currently working with New-Segma company in Mumbai. Police also checked out the messages Ravish sent her which reads: "We both are far from each other, we will break up." It is learnt that the duo exchanged messages at 10 pm. Her parents told the police that Ashwini was unwell for sometime and was being treated by a psychiatrist at a private hospital for the past two years. Doctors informed her parents that she was developing suicidal tendencies. Though doctors has advised her parents against leaving her alone, Ashwini continued to stay as a paying guest because of her job. On June 29, her father got her admitted into a PG—Sri Sai Paying Guest accomodation in Kondapur, hostel owner Balakrishna said. Ashwini shared her room with co-worker Anusha.
She went to office as usual in the morning but around 12.10 pm, she jumped from the seventh floor of Ananth Bhavan and died on the spot.
After postmortem in Osmania hospital, her dead body was taken to Bangalore. The police is now examining her call records, mails and also interacting with friends to find reasons that pushed her to death.
