Operation Chabutra: 225 Youngsters Held For Roaming At Midnight 

‘Operation Chabutra’ was carried out in Old City - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The South Zone police arrested 225 youngsters in ‘Operation Chabutra’ for wandering on streets at midnight without any purpose and creating nuisance on streets. The special operation was carried out in the wee hours of Tuesday in Old City.

South Zone DCP V. Satyanarayana said that in order to create awareness, parents were given counselling at Gulzar Function Hall, Mir Chowk after which the boys were let off

Four minors were included in the arrested. Police carried out the operation between 1.30am and 3am.

Police have registered case under section 180 and 181 of the IPC against 175 youngsters, while parents are booked in cases related to minors. However, 50 youngsters were let off as they showed genuine reasons for coming out at midnight.
