Only Jagapathi Babu Matches Charan’s Performance in Rangasthalam: Rajamouli

Apart from Cherry, it was Jagapathi Babu’s character that left an impression on Rajamouli's mind - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Sukumar's Rangasthalam has opened to tremendous box-office response. The film which released on March 30 is running to packed houses in weekends and weekdays alike and continues to set the cash registers ringing.

Ram Charan as Chittibabu has catapulted his image, if SS Rajamouli’s Magadheera was career defining moment, then Sukumar’s film has put Cherry in the league of top stars with his impeccable acting prowess. The film has been hailed by who’s who in the industry except Rajamouli. Well, Rajamouli who usually watches films on the first day couldn’t see the film, but the moment he saw the film he hailed Rangasthalam makers. He heaped praises on Ram Charan saying that “his acting was a treat to watch”.

Apart from Cherry, it was Jagapathi Babu’s character that left an impression on the maverick filmmaker's mind. The Baahubali director says, “The only person who could stand his ground to Charan, to an extent was JB. His slow drawling dialogue and performance was really menacing”.

Rangasthalam stars Samantha, Anasuya, Jagapathi Babu and Aadhi in lead roles. The entire film unit is currently basking in the success of Rangasthalam and we are looking forward to the film's success meet which will be held shortly.
