Ongole lands to soon fetch price of gold?

Many politicians are busy buying lands in Ongole after indications from Centre that it will be made the capital of Andhra.

People in the state are still in suspense over what will be the new capital of Seemandhra region if the division is inevitable.

Even after 20 days of continuous Seemandhra agitation over Samaikyandhra, looks like Congress High Command won't budge as there's no talk of going back on its words. Lakhs of employees have boycotted their duties to participate in the agitation, even the ESMA rule imposed by the government did not deter them.

However, the Seemandhra agitation has some impact on the High Command as the Centre appointed a committee to hear their problems.

Sources in to the Congress party say that Centre is planning to make Ongole as new capital. Speculation is also rife that Central leadership and some Congress leaders have even bought prime land in Ongole. The ground report suggests that there's a real estate boom in Ongole with steep increase in land prices.

Recently, TDP leader Kottakota Dayakar Reddy in a TV discussion openly said that Centre had bought 600 acres of land in Ongole at a cheaper price.

One wonders how the Centre decided on a new capital when issues related to present capital remain unsolved!
