One day, whole of AP will stand for 'Samaikyandhra':Jagan
Sadum (Chittoor), YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday alleged that Chandrababu Naidu sitting in his air conditioned room, with his lack of transparency on the bifurcation issue, was cheating the people of the state.
In Sadum for his Samaikya Sankharavam yatra, Jagan lashed out at the TDP chief after unveiling his father YS Rajashekar Reddy statue.
Criticising both Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and Naidu, Jagan said that the duo were pro-bifurcation. He also questioned their frequent absence from the Assembly.
Questioning their motives, Jagan asked why were they supporting bifurcation even though majority of MLAs were opposing it. He further pointed out how can their asking for a debate on Telangana Bill, instead of an outright rejection of the same, be justifiable?
Training his guns on Seemandhra leaders, who are supporting T Bill discussions, Jagan asked, "Have they gone on hunger strikes, or even submit affidavits against bifurcation?"
"Did they write even a single letter opposing the bifurcation," the 41-year-old questioned. He added that Telangana leaders are already asking them to leave Hyderabad and if this is condition now, what will happen after bifurcation.
He further promised that all regions of Andhra Pradesh will agitate for 'Samaikyandhra' on one day. "We should teach the unscrupulous leaders of Congress and TDP a fitting lesson by winning 30 MP seats in the next general elections," he said.
