Old man in queue for Aadhar dies in stampede

An aged person died and several others were injured in a stampede at Aadhar centre at Nadipudi in Dachepalli mandal of Guntur district on Wednesday.

Narsimha Rao, who was in queue line for Aadhar card registration, was crushed to death. There was a sudden commotion in the queue when the counter opened for iris test. The relatives of Narasimha Rao alleged that he came from Gurajala to Nadipudi as the officials failed to open a centre in Gurajala. About 200 people assembled for Aadhar card counter and repeated requests for second counter had yielded no result, alleged the villagers.
