Old City Tense on Black Day, Section 144 Imposed

Hyderabad: Muslim activists were dispersed and some were taken into custody by police in the old city of Hyderabad on Sunday when they took out a rally to mark the demolishion of Babri Masjid.Muslim groups have been observing December 6 as a black day ever since the mosque was pulled down by Hindu fundamentalists under the leadership of LK Advani on this day in 1992.

Security has been beefed up in Old City and Section 144 imposed till Monday 6am. No untoward incident was reported so far, according to DCP Satyanarayana.
