Okka Kshanam featuring Allu Sirish and Surabhi in the lead roles is a much-awaited sci-fi thriller coming from the mega family's stable.
The film opened to a fantastic response today. The film, which raised the audience's expectations sky-high with the trailer has been well-received all over the world. Directed by VI Anand, the plot is a bit sluggish in the first half, but picks up pace as the movie progresses after the interval.
Plot
Jeeva (Allu Sirish) is an unemployed youth who falls in love with Jyothsna (Surabhi). When everything is going well, Jeeva bumps into a couple Srinivas (Avasarala Srinivas) and Swathi (Seerat Kapoor), which becomes a turning point in the film. The two couples experience similar incidents in their lives, which is a cause of consternation, heightened by other elements in the plot.
Swathi's murder by her husband Srinivas, marks another key twist in the plot. As similar incidents get repeated in their lives, will Swathi's murder also impact Jyothsna's life? That forms the crux of the story.
Performances
Allu Sirish, Surabhi, Srinivas Avasarala and Seerat Kapoor deliver impressive performances. The chemistry between the couples is one of the highlights of the film and suspense adds to the excitement of the audience.
