What stinks behind the garnishes? - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Several hotels including Ohris and Minerva Grand in the city were fined for serving non-veg items made of unauthorized meat on Tuesday.

The GHMC teams conducting raids on hotels and restaurants since Monday found most of them were using meat from unauthorized kamelas (slaughter houses) as these places sell meat for a cheaper price. However, the meat sold at unlicensed kamelas can be hazardous to health as the animals are not tested before being slaughtered.

Ohris hotel in Banjara Hills was fined Rs5,000, Minerva Grand in Secunderabad Rs10,000, Sohail Hotel at Nalgonda Cross Roads Rs40,000 and Sagar restaurant at Shahpurnagar has been closed after cancelling its license.
