Numaish Organisers Worry Over Prevailing Cash Crunch
With queues outside banks and ATMs becoming a common sight throughout the length and breadth of the country and with very little expendable cash-in-hand available with people, the organizers of the Hyderabad ‘Numaish’ appear to be deeply concerned about the success of the annual trade fair in January next year.
The organizers of the Numaish or Nampally Exhibition have expressed concern about the prevailing cash flow situation as the trade fair is largely cash-driven affair. Although the Exhibition Society is reported to have received about 3000 applications so far, which is a rise of 20 percent over last year, the organizers are worried about the response it will receive from the public.
To help with the situation the committee is reportedly looking at card swiping machines at the booking counters and prescribes the same for the stall owners, but they are unsure if the stall owners (who mostly come from other states) will be willing and able to arrange for them in time.
