NTR statue sent to Delhi
The bronze statue of popular actor and former chief minister N. T. Rama Rao was sent to New Delhi.
The 9-ft 3-inch statue of the late CM was transported by road in a specially-designed lorry to the national capital. The statue would be unveiled on the premises of Parliament by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on May 7.
The NTR statue weighing about a tonne has been made by renowned sculptor Devu Shankar, his sons—Mayacharya and Nagamayya Narayanacharyulu.
It can be recalled that Union Minister Purandeshwari had said that the invitations were being sent to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and the NTR family members. But there's no news if Naidu will attend as there is a clash between TDP and Purandeshwari over the NTR statue.
