Notice Issued to Muthaiah in Cash-for-Vote Scam
Hyderabad: Officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) issued notice on Saturday to Jerusalem Muthaiah, an accused in the cash-for-vote scam, to appear before the inquiry committee. The ACB has given Muthaiah one week time to appear for questioning.
It may be recalled that Muthaiah is accused number four (A4) in the cash-for-vote scam in which the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has allegedly tried to buy the vote of nominated MLA Stephenson. ACB officials caught the TDP leaders and Stephenson red-handed at the time.
Earlier, Muthaiah had filed a petition in the High Court requesting that inquiry against him should be quashed.
