North Korean Olympians To Be Punished For Under Performing At Olympics

The Rio Olympics ended with mixed emotions for the athletes but for the North Korean Olympians , who will return to their homeland dread that they have to meet with dire consequences from their leader, Kim Jong-Un for under-performing at the Olympics.

According to reports, the leader has strictly asked the athletes to win minimum of 17 medals, but to they managed to win just seven medals, which includes two gold medals and five other medals.

The athletes now have to face wrath of their leader Kim and according to sources, they could be sent to work in coal mines

Making matters worse, it’s counterpart South Korea has won 21 medals, which includes nine gold medals.

Toshimitsu Shigemura, an expert on North Korea, quoted by The Sun, ”Those who won medals will be rewarded with better housing allocations, better rations, a car and may be other gifts from the regime. But Kim is going to be angry and disappointed at these results. Those he feels have let him down are likely to be punished by being moved to poorer quality housing, having their rations reduced and, in the worst-case scenario, being sent to the coal mines as punishment.”

Earlier, reports too have flashed which said that North Korea’s national football team was punished after they were defeated by Portugal by 7-0 at the 2010 World Cup. The players were sent back home after labour work of one or two years.
