Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana dies in Hyderabad

Carnatic musician and classical vocalist Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana on Tuesday passed away in Secunderabad.

He had been ailing for some time now. The musician breathed his last at his Secunderabad residence. Nookala received Padma Bhushan award in 2010.

He was born on August 4 in 1923 at Anakapalli in Vizag. He started his career as a violin student. He is the founder President of Viswakala Parishat. He worked as principal at several music colleges in Tirupati, Hyderabad and Viziangaram.
