No need to talk about turncoats: YS Jagan

Nellore: YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly decried the Telugu Desam Party's attempt to muzzle the voice of the people of the state by buying off MLAs from the opposition.

Addressing a public meeting organised to mark Anam Vijayakumar Reddy's joining of the YSRCP, he said Chandrababu Naidu and his party was trying to buy the Opposition MLAs with the money from corrupt deals. He said there was no use talking about the eight MLAs, who have defected from the YSRCP. He said he believed in the support of the people alone and not of individuals. Ridiculing turncoat MLAs, he said those in politics should have character and credibility.

He said he did not fear Sonia Gandhi, even when she was in power. He said he did not fear even when Chandrababu Naidu colluded with Sonia Gandhi and there is no question of fearing Chandrababu now.

He said his party has started with just two MLAs and has now grown into a formidable opposition. With our 67 MLAs and 9 MPs, we have made even the Centre to look at us. He warmly welcomed Anam Vijayakumar Reddy, who joined the party on Wednesday.
