No Need Of Mandatory Govt Hospital Service For PG Medicos
Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today scrapped the rule of mandatory one year service in government hospitals for all the Post Graduate medical students. The decision has been taken by government and a bill will be introduced in the coming state Assembly session.
CM said that the rule will come into force from this academic year itself. Presently there is condition that all the PG medical students must compulsorily work in a government hospital for one year to their PG registered. Now, PG medical students can register without the service rule, he informed.
The demand to do away with government hospital service rule has been there for a very long time, finally, KCR took a decision and has decided to scrap the rule. It is learnt that the CM took this decision knowing very well that the government was appointing adequate staff in all the government hospitals in Telangana.
