Nivetha Pethuraj, the Miss India UAE 2015 made a successful acting debut with the Tamil movie Oru Naal Koothu in 2016. She went on to win the Best Female Debut award for her performance. She was later roped in for a Telugu movie Mental Madhilo which also featured Sree Vishnu as a lead actor. The movie was directed by Vivek Athreya and produced by the makers of Pelli Choopulu. The romantic entertainer had received fantastic response from the audience and did extremely well at the box office.

The actress is now busy with the Tamil movies like Tik Tik Tik, Party, Thimiru Pidichavan and Jagajala Khiladi. Nivetha will be seen portraying the role of cop in Vijay Antony's Thimiru Pidichavan movie.

Born in Kovilpatti, the actress left for Dubai and has graduated from Heriot Watt Univerisity in Dubai. The actress, who only two years old when it comes to the film industry has numerous followers both in the Tamil and Telugu industry. Nivetha’s diary for the year 2018 is full with a number of Tamil movies and has not signed any Telugu movie as yet. Though many of the Telugu directors have tried to sign the actress up,she has become picky when it comes to scripts.
