Nirmala Seetaraman adopts WG coastal village
Union Minister of State for Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman has adopted Peddamainavanilanka and Turputanda villages in Narsapuram mandal in West Godavari district for developing them.
Speaking to the media after participating a program in Vijayawada, she announced the names of the villages.
She is all set to send proposals for developing various amenities and social infrastructure in the village.
The union minister also said that she has relation with these villages for the past 20 years.
Earlier, Union urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu has adopted Chepala Uppada village in Visakhapatnam district for development in the aftermath of recent cyclone Hudhud. Former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar also adopted Puttamraju Kandrika village of Gudur.
