A still from Kirrak Party

Director Sharan Koppisetty's Kirrak Party starring Nikhil Siddhartha and Simran Pareenja has been received well by the audience. A campus based story revolving around an engineering student falling in love with a girl with totally different mindset essayed by Simran. What happens when Simran dies and how Nikhil comes to terms with it forms the crux of the story.

The film is likely to do well at the ticket window as this is one of the few films to have hit the big screen ending a long strike by theatre owners over standoff with digital service providers.

The film is not only a light-hearted take on a student's life but also subtly highlights problems faced by them in the present age. Particularly, the first girl's exit is thought-provoking. There will be a lot of nostalgic moments that gives you a deja vu feeling. Most importantly, the dialogue writer has rewritten parts of the script to suit palatte of Telugu sensibilities. The film has earned $231,833 on the second day at the ticket window.
