COVID-19: Donald Trump Tweets Coronavirus A Very Bad 'Gift' From China

 - Sakshi Post

HYDERABAD: The United States is one of the worst-hit countries with COVID-19. US President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday that, "We have just reached a very sad milestone with the coronavirus pandemic deaths reaching 1,00,000. To all of the families & friends of those who have passed, I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy & love for everything that these great people stood for & represent. God be with you!"

He further tweeted that, "All over the World the CoronaVirus, a very bad “gift” from China, marches on. Not good!". According to the reports, the coronavirus has impacted all age groups and communities in the US. Donald Trump has made repeated statements in the past, blaming China for hiding about the pandemic.

He also said that he may seek damages from Beijing over the pandemic and has been ratcheting up pressure on the dragon country. Donald Trump said that he would hold a news conference "on China" on Friday.

Biden also took to his Twitter and tweeted as, "There are moments in our history so grim, so heart-rending, that they're forever fixed in each of our hearts as shared grief. Today is one of those moments. To those hurting, I'm sorry for your loss."

Donald Trump also threatened to shut down social media a day after Twitter fact-checked a pair of the president's tweets on mail-in voting. He tweeted as, " Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen. We saw what they attempted to do, and failed, in 2016. We can’t let a more sophisticated version of that happen again. Just like we can’t let large scale Mail-In Ballots take root in our Country. It would be a free for all on cheating, forgery and the theft of Ballots. Whoever cheated the most would win. Likewise, Social Media. Clean up your act, NOW!!"
