Will Vijay Deverakonda's Liger Will End Up As Another Box Office Disaster?
Youth sensation Vijay Deverakonda is one of the finest actors in Tollywood. He is gearing up for his Bollywood debut with his upcoming film 'Liger'. The actor is on a promotion spree with non-stop turs across India. So far, Vijay Deverakonda has toured more of North regions than Telugu states. Hardly two days left for Liger to hit the big screens. Amid all this, #BoycottLiger continues to trendi on social media platforms.
Fans and a section of the netizens have come forward to extend their support to him. The Liger team is clearly tensed over the #Boycott trend. However, Vijay Deverakonda is super confident about the film and he has reacted to #Boycott trend. The actor took to his Twitter and posted, "When we are doing as per dharma no need to care about others, We'll fight back." He also added a fire emoji to his tweet. Check out the tweet:
Interestingly, despite extensive promotions, the buzz around Vijay Deverakonda's Liger has been low. People are betting big time saying Vijay Deverakonda's Liger could end up as a box office disaster.
If you recall, Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaadha and Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan also faced #Boycott trend on social media from the audience before the release of their films.
Both the films were washed out within a few days of its release. Will Vijay Deverakonda's Liger join the list of (disastrous movies) or will break the jinx is yet to be seen. It is too early to talk about the film's success though.
Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under their banner—Puri Connects and Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta via Dharma Productions.
